The 2024 Business and Law Forum

On October 9, the Central Coordination Council for Law Dissemination and Education held the 2024 Business and Law Forum in Hanoi, both in-person and online, connected with 63 localities with the participation of leaders from related departments and sectors, representatives of business associations, and entrepreneurs.
Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Central Law Education and Dissemination Coordination Council Lê Thành Long chaired the event.
The theme and content of this year's forum is "Joining hands to solve legal issues, contributing to creating a favorable investment and business environment for enterprises". The theme closely follows the guiding spirit of General Secretary, President To Lam at the 10th Central Conference of the 13th term: "Highly unanimous in determining stronger breakthroughs in development institutions, removing bottlenecks and barriers, taking people and businesses as the center".
Addressing at the Forum, Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh hopes that the 2024 Business and Law Forum will aim at two main goals: First, to correctly and accurately identify existing legal problems in investment, production and business of enterprises in the context of enterprises being on the path of recovery and development; clarify the causes of those existing problems. Second, to propose effective solutions to immediately resolve legal issues that businesses are facing, especially in terms of law enforcement and organization. At the same time, to clearly identify directions for amending, supplementing or developing new legal documents to encourage businesses to innovate and promote development.
During the forum, 117 opinions on legal issues faced by businesses were raised, which were addressed by ministries and departments through careful review and action.
With the goal of placing citizens and businesses at the heart of development, the government has introduced numerous initiatives to tackle legal obstacles.
Key legislation on land, housing, real estate and credit institutions has been submitted to the National Assembly, with the aim of establishing a robust legal framework to promote business development.
"This forum reaffirms the government’s commitment to standing by businesses and protecting their rights under all circumstances. The government will continue to listen, share challenges, and work collaboratively to overcome difficulties,” Minister Ninh said.
This event also advances the government’s strategy of legal reform, encouraging innovation and harnessing national development potential.
It reflects the government’s dedication to building a transparent, action-oriented administration that serves the people and businesses.
